Terms of Use

Last updated:

These terms apply when you use the Labellingo app and labellingo.com. Labellingo is operated by Muammer Tekin, an individual developer based in Türkiye ("we", "us"). By signing in or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Not medical advice

Labellingo gives information, not medical, dietary or safety advice. Explanations are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. If you have an allergy, intolerance or a health condition, always read the packaging yourself and ask a professional when in doubt. Never rely on Labellingo alone in an emergency.

1. Your account

2. What Labellingo does

You photograph the ingredients list of a food, cosmetic or personal-care, or household cleaning product. Labellingo reads the label in whatever language it is written and explains the ingredients in the language you choose. It flags allergens, "may contain" warnings, diet suitability and safety warnings.

The analysis is done by a third-party AI service (see the Privacy Policy). Results depend on the photo and on what is printed on the label. They can be incomplete or wrong: the label itself may be incomplete, out of date or different from the product. Labellingo is not designed for dietary supplements or medicines.

3. Credits

4. Purchases and refunds

Purchases are made through Google Play or the App Store and are subject to their terms. Prices are shown in the store before you buy. Refund requests for purchases are handled by Google Play or Apple under their policies. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

5. Acceptable use

Don't:

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Your photos and results

Your photos remain yours. You allow us, and the service providers we use, to store and process them only to provide Labellingo to you: to analyse them and to show them in your history. We don't use your photos for advertising and don't use them to train AI models. You can delete a scan, or your account, at any time.

Labellingo's software, design, name and logo belong to us. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Changes to the service

We work to keep Labellingo available, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance. We may change or stop features. If we permanently stop the paid service, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days in advance.

8. Disclaimer and liability

As far as the law allows, Labellingo is provided "as is", without warranties that results are accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on results. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This doesn't limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Ending

You can stop using Labellingo and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account, or see Delete your account).

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there.

11. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we let you know in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Labellingo after that, the new terms apply.
